Throughout our short three-month season, we do our best to constantly change and renew the many non-nut goodies in our store. The ever-changing nature of the inventory would make it impossible to manage the online sales of such product. So make a point to visit us, you never know what nutty deal we may have flying off the shelves!

The quick answer… No. We do not classify or label any of our nuts as being gluten-free because they are packaged in a facility where they may come into contact with wheat or other gluten containing items.

The cashew tree is native to northeastern Brazil. In the mid-to-late 1500s, Portuguese traders and explorers introduced the cashew tree to India and to the east coast of Africa in an area that is now Mozambique. When We Are Nuts began its operation in 1988, we purchased our Cashews primarily from India and Africa. Now, twenty-six years later, Viet Nam has become a major world player in the Cashew market. Their quality has been exceptional for the past two years and has become the main source for We Are Nuts. We buy the very best Pecans direct form several growers in Georgia and also Walnuts and Almonds direct from growers in California.

I could tell you, but I’d have to kill you (just kidding!!!). You must first recognize that roasting nuts is an art. I learned the trade from a gentlemen, since retired, who was a roaster at the Fisher Nut plant in St. Paul. He was very fussy and wouldn’t even let me touch the stirring paddle for three years. Now, being the old pro that I am, I’m passing the technique to my sons (none of who, have yet to touch the paddle).

Absolutely! Incorporating raw or natural nuts into a well balanced diet is a great way to snack healthy without having to sacrifice taste. Nuts are high in protein, so a handful mid morning or mid afternoon can provide the energy needed to get through the day.

Just remember in this season of giving, celebration, family & friends, your big heart may be in for a work out, so keep it healthy!

Our online store accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. If you come in to our retail store, you can pay with credit card (same options) or cash. No checks please.

When checking out online, our site does NOT allow for the shipment a single purchase to multiple addresses.

But please don’t panic, we won’t make you choose which of your kids away at college is more deserving. Below are two solutions we hope will easily allow you to circumvent this issue. It’s our goal to make sure everyone on your list gets to go nuts! 1) Complete separate checkouts on our website for each address you wish to ship to. 2) Call us during our store hours - (651) 646-3688 – to check out over the phone and we will assist in coordinating the shipment of your order to the different locations.

The majority of our shipping is done through UPS, with some orders sent via the United States Postal Service (USPS). The choice of which is based on a composite of the lowest price available and the delivery date requested by the purchaser (if a specific date is not requested, all shipments will be sent out via standard delivery, the day following business day unless otherwise notified).

We are also happy to assist with the shipping of items purchased in store. Please consult with any of our staff prior to checking out and shipping costs can be included into your counter purchase.

When entering your shipping address online, you will be asked to determine whether the address provided is a home/residence or a business. If you are not sure please review the following to ensure a speedy and accurate delivery.

Standard Weekday Delivery service delivers by 5pm to business locations. Morning Delivery service (additional fee) will deliver by noon. If you select Saturday Delivery service for a business, keep in mind that some business locations may be locked on weekends.

We recommend that you provide an address at which someone will be present to receive the package during normal business hours. Many businesses have a reception area or central mail repository, which will then process the delivery. If the business is closed at the time of delivery, the package will be left at the door.
